Oblivion

Alt Folk
I’m running out of words to say
As I begin to slip away
Into oblivion
I’m running out of thoughts to think
As I begin to slowly sink
Into oblivion

CHORUS
I’m floating free
Above the pain and jealousy
There’s no place left for me
And so I seek oblivion

What price paid will be enough
Who determines what is just
As I fall into oblivion
When will I get down off this cross
And finally take back what I’ve lost
When I fell                        into oblivion

CHORUS
I’m floating free
Above the pain and jealousy
There’s no place left for me
And so I seek oblivion

As I become more wide awake
I’m overwhelmed by the weight of hate
And I fall back                         into oblivion
The darkness is so dubious
Could I have been so frivolous
When I fell                        into oblivion

CHORUS
If I’m forgiven how will I know
Will I take on an angelic glow
Will punishment fin’ly lose its hold
Or will I fall into oblivion
If I’m washed clean what does that mean
If I am free why chose misery
Or does it all lead into oblivion

I’m running out of words to say
As I begin to slip away
Into oblivion
